Junior Achievement Of Greater Kansas City Volunteer Opportunities
Junior Achievement USA is a nonprofit organization that supports local communities by engaging youth in financial awareness, leadership skills, and resources that support learning. JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. UFSC-GKC has scheduled multiple volunteer opportunities through 6/22/2022. Choose one or more dates that work best for you or a date with the UFSC President or Vice President or UFSC-GKC Board. Remember to use the “565” code when signing up.
Next Volunteer Date: June 22, 2022
Students are ready to visit JA BizTown presented by Community America Credit Union and we need your help! Volunteers will staff each JA BizTown storefront, assisting students at work while getting guidance from Junior Achievement Staff. Position-specific training will occur the morning of the event, and there is no required training beforehand. Storefronts will be assigned the day of the event and there is no industry-specific knowledge required.
